Rainbow Voices is a combined group of individuals who are united by their love of song. Established in 1995, we are the leading Midlands based community choir for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans people and their friends. We are a diverse and mixed voice choir who provide a safe environment for old and new friends to meet and sing together.

We have approximately 40 singing members at any time and are split into 4 different voices: Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. We are a non-audition community choir, and reading music is not deemed essential for members to join. This does not mean that we do not work to a high standard.

We sing a wide variety of music covering songs from the rock, pop, classical, folk and musical theatre genres. We perform most music without scores, having learnt pieces by heart. We work towards a summer and winter concert each year, as well as singing at Midlands Pride events and World Aids Day.

During lockdown we met and practiced online, which was fun but presented many challenges in maintaining our spirit in song, whilst not being able to hear each other. We are very happy to be singing regularly together.

As we were allowed to start meeting and singing together, the choir seized the opportunity, and with the support of the Midlands Arts Center, utilised their outdoor amphitheater, in the sun, rain and with the vocal support of the local Canada Geese.

Luckily we have since been able to return to regular rehearsals at Longbridge Retirement Village. We’d love to see you there soon!
New members are always welcome; we rehearse on Tuesdays 7.45 to 9.45 at the Longbridge Retirement Village. If you want to know more complete the form below.
